17 Countries Agreed Aceh to be an Asia Studies Center

BANDA ACEH – A total of 17 country representatives who were present to join the 5th International Conference on Aceh and Indian Ocean (ICAIOS), agreed on the need to establish the Center for Asia Studies which will be centered on the campus UIN Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh.

The agreement was born in the recommendations at the closing remarks ICAIOS conference held since Monday (17/11) until Tuesday (18/11) yesterday in the Auditorium Building Prof. Ali Hasjmy, UIN Ar-Raniry, Darussalam, Banda Aceh.

Other recommendations, the need to implement the elements of science in the study of the tsunami in Aceh. And
another recommendation is equally important is to build regional research center that will focus on the Ar-Raniry UIN campus.
