Domestic tourists crowded the Ulee Lheue Port, Banda Aceh. Motorcycles and cars lined up at the Ulee Lheue Port. Hundreds of vehicles belong to tourists, most of whom will go on vacation or visit relatives on the other side of the island, namely in Sabang City.
Head of the Aceh Transportation Office’s Regional I Ferry Port, Husaini Jamil, on Wednesday, March 25, said the number of sailings from Ulee Lheue Port to Balohan Sabang Port and vice versa, increased during Idulfitri.
It is recorded that speedboats from Banda Aceh and Sabang each serve four trips per day.
Meanwhile, the ferry ship serves five trips from both regions. The majority of passengers are domestic tourists from various districts/cities as well as outside Aceh.
General Manager of PT ASDP Banda Aceh, Andri Setiawan, said that despite the increase in sailing and passenger schedules, safety aspects remained a priority.
