JAKARTA – The government has raised the cost for Aceh and Nias reconstruction by Rp6.64 trillion in the 2010-2012 period.
“The money will include Rp 5.6 trillion for Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) province, and Rp 1.06 trillion for Nias Island,” Director for Special Regions and Underpriviliged Areas Suprayoga Hadi said in Jakarta Monday (8/2).
He said the allocation of the funds was based on three main agendas. Firstly rehabilitation and reconstruction (RR) of NAD and Nias amounting to Rp 3.92 trilion, secondly maintenance of assets/facilities RR Rp 1.2 trillion, and lastly functionalisation of assets/facilities RR Rp 1.52 trillion.
He said of the Rp 6.64 trillion, starting from 2010 to 2012, Rp 3.1 trilliun will be allocated, in 2011 Rp 2.2 trillion, and in 2012 Rp 1.4 trillion.
He said the needs had already been met by activities programmed under the State Budget taken from foreign loans and grants and off budget Rp 3.5 trillion, which had caused other needs and proposed additions Rp 3.14 trillion.
He added that the program includes intensified gaps target achievement (KPI) based on the Master Plan (Presidential Decree 30/2005) and revised Master Plan or the 2007-2009 Nias reconstruction and rehabilitation action plan, under Presidential Decree 47/2008 based on reaching the target of the NAD-Nias reconstruction and rehabilitation scheme, reconstruction and rehabilitation asset/facility maintenance, and funtionalization of reconstruction and rehabilitaiton assets and facilities.
He said the handling of the gap target achievement will cover a period of 3 years (2010-2012).
He said the action plan is one of the strategies for the development of regional government capacities, for readiness to accept full responsibilities. This is to secure sustainability of reconstruction.(*)
