Lebaran Day 3, 17,206 Vehicles Cross Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road

A total of 257,564 vehicles were recorded entering Sumatra Island through the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) in the period of 23 March 2026 or during the Lebaran return flow.

Acting Executive Vice President (EVP) Secretary of PT Hutama Karya (Persero) Hamdani said that the figure increased by 184.20 percent compared to normal traffic.

“The total daily traffic on the toll road that has been operating has reached 257,546 vehicles or an increase of 184.20 percent compared to normal traffic,” said Hamdani as quoted from a written statement, Tuesday, March 24.

He explained that traffic increases were still occurring on a number of major roads, especially on intercity connecting corridors and access to urban areas.

This condition is influenced by the movement of the community which is still ongoing during the Lebaran holiday, both for returning trips and to various tourist destinations.

A number of toll roads recorded a significant spike, the Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Section 2-6 (Seulimeum-Baitussalam) as many as 17,206 vehicles or increased by 455.03 percent compared to normal traffic.

Meanwhile, on the toll road that is operated functionally during the Lebaran return flow, the Sigli-Banda Aceh Section 1 Toll (Seulimeum-Padang Tiji) recorded traffic of 6,071 vehicles.

Hutama Karya stated that traffic monitoring was carried out continuously to ensure that toll road services remained safe, smooth, and comfortable for users during the 2026 Lebaran return period.
